A visit to a sheep property

Last holidays I visited a sheep property. I helped in the shearing sheds and in the yards.
On the first day the Merino withers were crutched. I helped by sweeping up after the rouseabout picked up the wool pieces. Shearers start early (at 7.30 am).
After lunch, we started shearing the lambs. There were more than 400 so we didn't finish until the next day. Once again I was sweeping and picking up dags.
I was tired by the end of the day in the shed but our work wasn't finished. We all had to help to get the wethers and lambs back into the paddocks. As well, we had to get a mob of ewes and their lambs into the yards for shearing the next day. Then it was time for tea (that's what my nanna calls dinner).
This was a very long day but I enjoyed it a lot.

  LEARNING PURPOSE

In this case, the students have to be able to read the text so that the student can understand what the text talking about. By using communicative - integrative approach, it is not focus to read only but also listening skills, speaking skills, and writing skills. From the text, the students have to listen what the teacher says or another student. Speaking activities will be appeared when the student discuss about the text and the writing activities will be got by student when they write a report or composition about the text which the have been got from discussion.
In conclusion, it is the best way to teach because four languages competence have been included by the teacher like listening competences, reading competences, speaking competences, and writing competences.

STEPS OF HOW TO STUDY

There are several steps that the teacher teaches it:
Firstly, the teacher introduces type of the text which will be discussed and give the general explanation about the topic. In the other hand, the teacher gives and asks about the topic which it is based on the topic or text.
Secondly, the teacher distributes the text to the student and ask student to read and understand it. When the student find difficult words, the teacher gives the meaning of difficult words and write it down on the black or whiteboard to help the student about their understanding. After that, the teacher may ask to the student about their understanding based on the text.
Thirdly, the teacher gives a duty for the student that it must be worked by student at the lesson. Clearly, after the class program is over, the teacher gives homework to the student which it must be submitted for next day in the same time. As can as possible, the teacher has to correct the students’ task and give it back to the student. The teacher doesn’t need to explain again but the teacher gives opportunity to the students who want to ask or complain about their result or their task.
