FESTIVAL IN HONG KONG

                  The most important one is the Chinese Luna New Year. It is the time for praying for good luck, exchanging gifts and having big feasts. The Ching Ming Festival is the time for visiting the graves of
dead ancestors. The people console them with prayers and offering of
food and of money, boats, cars, and house. Tin Hua is an important festival for the boat-people because by praying they believe for fine weather and good catches. On twenty-third day of the third moon, they all go to her templates in Shaukiwan and Joss House bay to worship her. The most enjoyable of all the waterborne festival is the Dragon Boat Festival. Dragon-boat races are very colourful and exciting events, held at different places in Hong Kong then. Europeans enjoy this festival as much as the Chinese do.
